- Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 9:00-10:30am OR 10:30am-12:00pm.
We have a program for kids 12 years of age and older and kids 8-11. The implemented program will challenge each young athlete both physically and mentally on a daily basis.
Our program for the kids 8-11 will introduce them to the gym experience; some for the very first time, and some for the first time in the proper way. We will emphasize proper form, proper training function, nutrition, speed, agility, and endurance development in a fun and rewarding way. Our program for the older kids will challenge them in all aspects of fitness. The strength training portion of the camp will teach them great form most of all, will allow their bodies to develop normally, while teaching them the importance of being mentally strong as well as physically. We saw incredible results last summer as children with low self esteem and little to no mental toughness became outstanding young men and women. The speed development portion will not only improve their speed and agility, but it will also teach them the proper technique needed to maximize their speed and agility in their particular sport. We won’t just improve their endurance, we will improve their ability to use each of the energy systems (phospholytic, glycolitic, and oxidative) the body uses.
Although the Summer Sports Camp focuses on athletic performance, we have seen a trend in the last few years of “non-athlete” children participating in the camp and having great success in weight loss, boosts in self confidence, as well as showing interest in sports they once had nothing for. We feel the lifestyle component is the most important development we can offer whether they are athletes or not.
